Adventure Summer Camp
Swift Nature Camp is a summer camp for boys and girls ages 6-15. We are located 2.5 hours Northeast of Minneapolis Minnesota. Our focus is to blend traditional summer camp with an appreciation for nature and the environment. We supplement a child's education outside the classroom. We provide each child a safe, fun and rewarding summer program away from technology, celebrity culture and academic pressures. Through fun activities and positive staff role models, we help children develop life long skills such as confidence, teamwork, leadership, compassion and communication. Living at camp creates a community in which we expect each child to become an active citizen. This inclusiveness promotes making friends as well as self-esteem, independent thinking, and initiative in each camper. We believe this character development will last long after their time at Swift Nature Camp. A day at SNC is loaded with activities from morning until night, we believe busy children are happy children. Campers have assigned activities each day along with the opportunity to personalize their activity schedule. This is the best for it encourages children to try new things yet still lets them do what they like best. Campers choose from fishing, swimming, canoeing, archery, arts and crafts and many more activities. In addition children get to play and learn in our Nature Center and Zoo. |

The camp is located on a heavily wooded 80 acre site with nearly 1/2 mile of sandy lake shore. Contiguous to camp is a county forest, perfect for overnight camping. |

Camp is open to all boys & girls ages 6-15. Campers come from all parts of the country and around the world. Enrollment is limited to a total of less than 100 campers. We even provide a First Time Camp as well as a teen camp |

Our Session lengths are Two, Three & Six weeks, plus an additional Canadian Canoe Adventure is available. Sessions begin in mid June and costs around $600/week. |

Discovery Camp is our 12 Day Program that is especially designed to meet the needs of the First Time Camper. We limit camp size to only 72 campers with 26 staff members. This ensures that every camper gets the attention required to guarantee that their first camp stay is a great one. We have 5 campers in a cabin with 2 counselors |

Sports are played for fun rather than competition. Offered are: Traditional Camping, Horseback Riding, Arts & Crafts, Archery, Softball, Volleyball, Basketball, Computers, Team Course. |

The camp is located on a 1/2 mile of sandy beach on the Minong Flowage. This 1650 acre lake is clear and perfect for Canoeing, Sailing,Water Skiing, Scuba, Fishing,Water Slide & Trampoline. Campers achieve Red Cross Swimming Certification. |

Hands-on Environmental Education is taught in a fun way, including: Water testing, Animal care, Stars, Weather, Animal tracking, Life cycles, Geology, and more. |

Educational
tutoring is available in most subjects
including: Reading, Spelling, Math, Science. |

A Nurse is on site 24 hours a day. A doctors' clinic is located 5 miles away and two hospitals are less than 20 miles away. |

Our staff comes from all over the world. Many of them are teachers or are studying to be teachers. All are over 18, background checked, given a drug test, and undergo extensive training before being a counselor. |

Campers live in modern cabins, complete with heat and electricity. A maximum of 10 campers of the same age and gender live with 2 counselors in each camp cabin. |
