From swimming, jumping on our water trampoline, shooting at archery, boating, fishing, singing, crazy craft making, or playing with animals - you’ll have a blast. Who knows, maybe you’ll even discover a new talent or passion at our Wisconsin summer camp!

ADVENTURE TRIPS await you! Whether you are a novice or an expert, you’ll find that camping trips will be some of your fondest memories! SNC’s awesome counselors are there to help you every step of the way while you canoe down scenic rivers, hike through forests, and even take bike trips. We can’t wait to explore the world with you. Camping under millions of stars, singing songs around a fire, and jumping into waterfalls are just more of the fun you will have at SNC.

NATURE is bursting with life! At SNC, there are islands that need exploring, frogs that need catching, and ice cream to taste made from wild berries picked by you! Our Nature Center is filled with amazing animals to learn about and play with! Whether you’re a nature nut or someone a little nervous about the woods, we’ll help you find the best sunsets, spot highflying eagles, and discover what makes our planet worth protecting!

A One-of-a-Kind Overnight Camp with a Nature Center & Camp Zoo

Finding the right overnight summer camp for your child isn’t always easy—especially if your child truly loves animals and iss a not so much about sports.

Many camps offer swimming, sailing, and sports. But very few are designed specifically for kids who light up when they see animals, explore nature, and learn by doing. Some might say we are a zoo camp

That’s exactly why we created Swift Nature Camp.

I’m Lonnie, and for over 30 years I’ve directed Swift Nature Camp, a small, trusted animal and nature sleepaway camp for kids ages 6–17. While we are located in the beautiful Wisconsin Northwoods, many of our campers come from Illinois—and travel together on our supervised camp bus, making the journey simple and comfortable for families.

🐷 From the Director: Why We Have Bubba the Pig

Over the years, people often ask me—why do you have Bubba the pig at camp? The answer is simple. Animals teach lessons that we can’t always teach with words. I remember one camper who was unsure about camp and struggled those first few days. She was quiet, a little homesick, and unsure where she fit in. One morning, she was assigned to help care for Bubba. At first, she hesitated. But slowly, she began showing up each day—feeding him, talking to him, taking responsibility. Something changed. She started smiling more. She connected with other campers. She found her place. It wasn’t about the pig—it was about what caring for something else did for her. That’s why Bubba is here.

Because sometimes, the simple act of caring helps a child discover confidence, responsibility, and connection in a way nothing else can.
